READING PASSAGE
Your class has been learning about perseverance during Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) lesson. Your teacher has asked you to read this story to your classmates to encourage them to keep trying when things get difficult. You will now present the story to the class.
Raj could not wait to try the robot kit he had received for his birthday. He spent the whole of Saturday connecting wires, snapping parts together and downloading the program.
But when he finally switched it on, the robot spun in circles like a puppy chasing its tail.
"Maybe it's spoilt," his cousin suggested. "You should ask for a refund."
Raj shook his head. He checked every wire against the manual — once, twice, three times. Nothing seemed wrong. Just as he was about to give up, he noticed something odd about the left wheel sensor. It had been fixed on backwards!
With one careful flip, everything changed. The robot rolled smoothly across the floor, followed the black line around his desk, turned neatly at every corner, and stopped exactly where it had started.
"How did you stay so patient?" his cousin asked, amazed.
Raj grinned and held up the crumpled manual. "I didn't have a choice. Robots don't fix themselves!"
